Euroseal® 2307 Reinforced Mineral Graphite Packing – The Reliable Choice for High-Performance Valves
Euroseal® 2307 packing is manufactured using Euroseal® expanded mineral graphite, reinforced and braided with stainless steel wires to ensure high tensile strength, and externally jacketed with an additional layer of expanded graphite.
This configuration makes it especially suitable for valve applications, ensuring excellent adaptability even on irregular or worn seats, without requiring top & bottom anti-extrusion rings.
Its excellent heat dissipation, along with high resistance to temperature and pressure, makes it an ideal solution even under critical operating conditions.
Technical Advantages
- Reinforced structure: internal graphite yarns enclosed in a stainless steel wire mesh provide superior mechanical strength.
- External graphite jacket: protects the stem from scoring, enhancing adaptability and sealing performance.
- High compressibility and thermal conductivity: ensures sealing even on uneven surfaces.
- Suitable for both new and old valves: does not require top & bottom rings.
- Low-sulfur graphite: enhances safety and process compatibility.

Technical FAQ
What is Euroseal® 2307 graphite packing and what are its main features?
Euroseal® 2307 is a braided seal made of pure expanded mineral graphite, with each strand reinforced by a mesh of steel wires. It is externally coated with a graphite sleeve that increases its mechanical strength and protects the valve stem. It is characterized by high tensile strength, excellent compressibility, heat dissipation capacity, and resistance to extreme temperatures and pressures.
In which applications is Euroseal® 2307 packing recommended?
Euroseal® 2307 is particularly recommended for static applications on valves in chemical plants, petrochemical facilities, power stations, steelworks, and paper mills. It is ideal for ensuring sealing even on older valves, without the need for additional components such as anti-extrusion rings.
What are the temperature and pressure limits of Euroseal® 2307?
Euroseal® 2307 can operate in a wide temperature range, from −240 °C up to +650 °C with steam and up to +1650 °C in non-oxidizing environments. The maximum supported pressure is 450 bar, making it suitable for extreme operating conditions.
What advantages does it offer compared to other graphite packings?
Euroseal® 2307 ensures effective sealing even on damaged or worn seats, thanks to its extraordinary ability to adapt to imperfections in the stuffing box. In addition, the sulfur content in the graphite used is negligible, reducing the risk of corrosion and increasing plant service life.
Is Euroseal® 2307 suitable for old or worn valves?
Yes. Euroseal® 2307 is designed to perfectly adapt to imperfections in stuffing boxes, even on older valves. It does not require anti-extrusion rings and ensures optimal performance under these conditions.
Is it necessary to use top-and-bottom anti-extrusion rings with Euroseal® 2307?
No. Thanks to its reinforced structure and external graphite sleeve, Euroseal® 2307 provides effective containment without the need for anti-extrusion rings, even in high-pressure applications.
What does “zero leakage” mean and how is it ensured?
Euroseal® 2307 guarantees zero leakage because it adheres perfectly to the inner surface of the stuffing box, compensating for any irregularities and preventing fluid passage even under severe operating conditions.
Is the packing available in different sizes and packages?
Yes. Euroseal® 2307 is available in sections from 3 mm up to 25 mm, supplied in packages from 2 to 4.4 kg. Larger sections are available on request. Versions up to 6 mm are not equipped with the external sleeve.
