The Reliable Gasket for Air Coolers – Euroseal® Kap Seal
Euroseal® Kap Seal is a gasket for air cooler designed by General Packing, ideal for ensuring reliable sealing even under severe operating conditions: irregular surfaces, thermal cycles, and high pressures.
Composed of a metal core with concentric grooves (camprofile) and coated with selectable sealing materials (Euroseal® graphite, PTFE, or Euroseal® Thermoseal), the Euroseal® Kap Seal gasket ensures optimal load distribution and uniform compression across the entire sealing surface.
Key Features
- Grooved metal core – Euroseal® Kap Seal 300 – concentrates the load on a reduced surface area, lowering the required tightening torque. Also available in a smooth version – Euroseal® Kap Seal 200 – always with coating.
- Available coatings: Euroseal® graphite, Thermoseal, or PTFE, depending on the fluid and operating temperature.
- Guaranteed surface finish: thanks to CNC lathe machining, burrs, dimensional irregularities, and flatness issues are eliminated.
- Adaptability to unmachined surfaces: excellent ability to adapt to housings with defects or wear, thanks to the graphite coating.

Euroseal® Kap Seal gaskets are machined from solid bar stock on CNC lathes, available in all metallurgies and dimensions according to customer requirements.
Euroseal® Kap Seal + Euroseal® GP Plug
When combined with the Euroseal® GP Plug, the Kap Seal gasket redefines the concept of sealing in Air Coolers. The main advantages of the system are:
- The low compression torque of the Kap Seal gasket, along with the perfect centering on the GP Plug, extends thread lifespan.
- It ensures sealing even at 50% of the minimum recommended load for traditional washer systems.
- Maintains sealing performance even on worn or misaligned surfaces.
- Significantly improves efficiency in maintenance and replacement operations.
